Opening May 9 at the Janette Kennedy Gallery in Dallas, Vital Signs features work by fourteen Texas Woman’s University student artists exploring the intersection of art and healthcare in aging populations. Each artist addresses an illness common among older adults—such as heart disease, diabetes, or COPD—translating medical themes into visual expression.
The exhibition runs May 9–31, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday at the Janette Kennedy Gallery at 1409 Botham Jean Blvd #105, Dallas, TX 75215. The Artist’s Reception takes place on Sunday, May 31 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
The exhibit is a collaboration between TWU art and nursing students, guided by professors Dr. Aaron Loeb (TWU Houston) and Giovanni Valderas (TWU Denton).
