The last time Mackenzie and Dan made an appearance on our blog, they were in the middle of planning their wedding following an epic ESPN engagement. Since then, Dan has traded his Arkansas Razorbacks jersey for a Detroit Lions uniform and Mackenzie has made a change to her last name. Now that they’re newlyweds, we’re thrilled to be sharing all of the details from their beautiful wedding day at the Fort Worth Zoo!

Mackenzie and Dan are such a fun-loving couple, and from their popcorn-container ceremony programs to Dan’s donut wall at the reception, their wedding day was completely reflective of that. And talk about aisle style! Mackenzie’s Hayley Paige gown was a showstopper, and we absolutely loved the monogrammed converse she gifted to her bridal party—perfect for the dance floor!
The Something Pretty Floral team did an incredible job of translating Mackenzie and Dan’s colorful personalities into an array of vibrant design details. Between the flower crowns worn by the ‘maids, the gorgeous ceremony arch, and the arrangements accenting furniture from Perch Decor, we’re hard-pressed to pick a favorite floral detail. Also deserving of fanfare: the creative sports-centric nods to the couple’s love story and alma mater incorporated throughout the evening! Guests were encouraged to don a game-day worthy button bearing the bride or groom’s image at the reception, while “Team Skipper” foam fingers and pom-poms in Razorback colors were distributed for the couple’s farewell.
Mackenzie and Dan, it was such a delight to be a part of bringing your wedding day to life. We’re cheering you on as you begin your happily-ever-after!
