Jen Owen and James Reid were married on June 9, 2012 at Rough Creek Lodge in Glen Rose, TX. We were delighted to work with the Owen family again…we did Jen’s sister Julie’s wedding last July in Dallas. This sweet family has been busy planning two weddings less than a year apart! Jen and James’ wedding weekend at Rough Creek was so much fun for everyone involved. Guests really had the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Texas Hill Country while celebrating a fantastic couple! One of our favorite memories of the weekend was the fireworks show at the end of the reception that the parents of the bride surprised Jen and James with…quite possibly the most perfect way to end the evening with a bang! Alison, what an AWESOME wedding! Lee knows how to cut a rug and I think Scott did an incredible job capturing these images. I love how both Jen and Julie had a shot of their guests surrounding them, and how Jen opted to do it at their reception while Julie did it at their ceremony. Really a special idea to capture everyone in one place. The picture of Lee & Jen in front of the mirror is easily my favorite.
