Neon lighting and decor created a vibrant backdrop for Bryn’s birthday party while custom pillows, signage, cups, napkins, and wristbands embellished with the party’s emblem brought the “House of Bryn” to life. And let’s not forget the live entertainment, flash tattoos, and loads of eats and sweets party-goers enjoyed throughout the evening!
Needless to say, we had the best time rockin’ and rollin’ at the House of Bryn. Here’s a closer look at all the details that made this party sing!
With a color palette as rich as a ruby and a birthday girl capable of outshining any diamond, our vote for flat-out-fabulous party of the year goes to Robyn Conlon’s January celebration at Brook Hollow!
The Garden Gate andBella Acento perfectly captured Robyn’s vision for a jewel toned soiree saturated by color. “Junior knew how much I loved my Crystal Charity Ball theme, Jewels of the Garden,” says Robyn, who was the 2014 CCB chair, “and used a lot of things from that.” The result? A fantastic fête with equal parts color and class!
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again…there’s no need to go with dark decor for milestone birthdays unless black just so happens to be your favorite color. For Adriana’s 40th fête, hot pink was the primary color of the evening and we couldn’t have been happier about her selection!
From the sunset-hued arrangement of 500 roses created by Jackson Durham Events, to the incandescent bars and signage, to the take-home recovery kits provided for guests, all of the decorative details combined to create a bright, fun party atmosphere at Dec on Dragon (no rose-colored glasses required).
Classic cars, backyard games, southern cooking, and a surprise celebrity guest. This 50th birthday bash at Chicken Scratch had all the ingredients needed to create a perfect party atmosphere…and then some!
We had so much fun working with Lisa to plan a special event that her husband, Cary, would never forget. Cary’s enthusiasm for classic cars—especially his replica 1966 AC Cobra—served as the starting point for the party’s design and details. The look of the vehicle was specifically reflected via Cary’s custom party logo. Just like the AC Cobra, the logo was red with two stripes down the middle, and was showcased in various ways throughout the evening!
This incredible weekend celebration (which was featured by Style Me Pretty Living) began with one simple request from the birthday girl: to bring all of her favorite people to her favorite place, her family’s ranch!
The weekend began with a welcome on the front porch, after which guests were escorted to our very own (and super chic) “RV Village” adorned Texas-style with a handmade wooden sign naming each accommodation after a tiny Texan town.
Guests put on their boots and headed to a welcome fiesta complete with margaritas and fajitas by Perini Ranch, not to mention Mexican roasted corn drenched in butter, all served on colorful Fiesta ware. Mexican inspired linens boasted bright colors and complemented the gorgeous wildflower centerpieces. Classic country tunes played as the night continued, and the evening was topped off by a Hill Country sunset.
After a barbecue lunch and a day of enjoying longhorns, skeet shooting, and fishing, guests cleaned up and got ready for the birthday celebration.
A lattice-lined tent was positioned in the middle of the property to take advantage of the sunset. The goal was to create a sense of “Southern Elegance” while not losing the feeling of being at the ranch.
Jackson Durham created incredible balance with elegant floral and place settings combined with the birthday girl’s favorite pumpkins and antlers that were found on the property. The windmill, a treasured find by the event’s hostess, created a focal point, as well as the Edison bulb light fixture that ran the entire length of the tent. Shelves stocked with found china and milk glass pieces added a cozy feel.
To close the evening, guests two-stepped the night away to the sounds ofThree Fools on Three Stools and got a lesson in country western dancing under glowing stringer lights – a perfect ending to an unforgettable birthday celebration!

Fiftieth birthday parties may have been synonymous with “Over the Hill” signs and all-black decor in the past, but we are thrilled to announce that those days are behind us! Take this recent fête, for example. Décor in shades of gold and pink were selected in lieu of ebony. Guests lounged on day beds accented by patterned throw pillows while enjoying delicious bites and sips. Floral arrangements bursting with coral and yellow blooms sat atop everything from accent tables to a boxwood-covered bar labeled with custom signage. If you have a major milestone coming up, take a few cues from these colorful hues and throw a party that’s focused on celebrating life rather than mourning how quickly the clock seems to tick—no black balloons required!
A putting green, a 3D Mapping show, models, and stir fry. We’ll save you the guessing game and just go ahead and tell you what each of these elements have in common—they were all part of best friends Ike and Eric’s 60th birthday celebration!
Upon arrival at 6500 on Cedar Springs, guests relaxed and enjoyed the offerings from two separate bars until—surprise!—drapes were pulled back to reveal the main party room and a musical performance by Simply Irresistible.
From the Food Glorious Food catering stations that featured Shanghai chicken stir fry, halibut tacos, and short rib sandwiches, to the visual feast of DJ and Drummer’s 3D mapping show, party-goers faced no shortage of entertainment or opportunities to nosh throughout the evening.
When a break from the dance floor was needed, some guests lounged in u-shaped banquettes and upholstered car seats custom designed by Stage Works while others enjoyed golf instruction provided by models with Jan Strimple Productions. To reflect Ike and Eric’s love of sports and modern art, additional models were “outfitted” in body paint that was expertly applied by Sharon Hodges to look like Cowboys and Stars jerseys.
Ike and Eric’s custom logo served as the basis of the party’s design, and was developed by Spun Creative Group’s Natalia Saenz to reference their names and date of birth. The unique motif was featured on everything from the event signage to the late-night cones of popcorn and fries guests enjoyed, and served as a constant reminder of the motivation behind this duo’s celebration—60 years of loving life!
Thanks for letting us join in the party, guys!

It’s true—we coordinate a lot of weddings. But we’re also blissful about birthday parties, a fan of anniversaries, over the moon about special occasions…you get the idea. This is the spot where we’ll be sharing recaps and photos from events that don’t involve the words “I do.” Coming in 2015!
We love celebrating birthdays around here, especially ones like this! Tracy’s “Hawaii Five-O” themed 50th birthday party was an absolute blast to be a part of! We have so much fun working with this family…you might remember Richard’s Red, Red Winethemed 50th birthday party we helped with a few years ago. Unreal, right?! Well, get ready to enjoy another unbelievable party, this time for Richard’s beautiful wife, Tracy! Happy 50th, Tracy…you make 50 look fabulous!
